Battle Of The Bands @ Loco`s Alpharetta

Structure
Frequency: Once per week at Loco`s in Alpharetta. The competition will last 6 weeks. At the end of the 6 individual competitions, 1 winners from each week will perform at the "FINALS".
Dates: Thursdays: April 10th / 17th / 24th / May 1st / 8th / 15th Finals: May 22nd
Time: 8:30 - 12:00 am
6 Qualifying Weeks: 1 winner will be chosen from each week`s competition and will move on to the Finals.
Sign-up: Sign-up takes via email. Send your band name and requested date to: claudia.usa@gmx.ch
Time slots will be assigned on a first-come basis each Thursday.
Music Genre: Acoustic Rock, rock, country
Format: Duos / acoustic bands / bands
Equipment Provided: PA & Drums
Equipment to Bring: Amps, keys, instruments
Set Length: 30 min. for each band
Volume: This is a small room. Bring your small room setup. If you`re too loud, you won`t win.
Rules
Each week, a band may signup to perform one set.
The band with the highest score at each qualifying round will be invited to play in the "FINALS".
If a band does not win, they may participate in another qualifying round on another night.
Bands may play covers or originals.
Prizes
Competition finalists will receive the following prizes:
Individual Nights:
- A slot in the FINALS. Three individuals from each round will be chosen to move on.
Over-All Competition:
1st/2nd - Winner gets a paid gig in the future from Loco`s
- Prizes from Ken Stanton Music - TBA
3rd - Recording time at a top Atlanta studio
Judging
Loco`s will choose qualified people to act as judges each week. Judges decisions are final. Judges will use the following criteria to rate each performance:
Criterias
1. Song Selection
Do the songs selected `fit` the band?
2. Performance
Singing, playing and delivery. Give it your best!
3. Audience
Do they like your stuff? Hint: Bring out a big crowd and tip the scales in your favor on this one!
